A friendly members course that one would never grow tired of playing. Every hole throws a problem at you that could lead to a bogey. Some of the greens slope away from the fairway making the run-up approach not only prudent but necessary.

Another couple of greens belie their true nature due to optical illusion with the surrounding terrain. What appears uphill is the opposite - havoc on your putting stats!

The first hole at 420 yards, mostly uphill, is a stern start and the par four 17th at 375 yards may well be the toughest par four under 400 yards in the U.K. Only a long straight drive into the prevailing wind permits an open shot to the green, tall trees at the dogleg otherwise blocking you out.
