Another couple of
greens belie their true nature due to optical illusion with the
surrounding terrain. What appears uphill is the opposite - havoc on
your putting stats!
The first hole
at 420 yards, mostly uphill, is a stern start and the par four 17th
at 375 yards may well be the toughest par four under 400 yards in
the U.K. Only a long straight drive into the prevailing wind
permits an open shot to the green, tall trees at the dogleg
otherwise blocking you out.
